Dr. Steven Weger completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 2013, Master of Science degree in 2015, and Medical Doctorate degree in 2019; at the University of Manitoba. He went on to complete his Family Medicine residency in the Northern Remote stream to obtain his CCFP. His areas of interest include chronic disease prevention and management, mental health, men’s health, fitness, and lifestyle improvement. He holds privileges at HSC and works as a hospitalist on the acute stroke unit and gold surgery unit.
Accepting New Patients
Dr. Poole was born in Port Alice B.C., but has always called Winnipeg home. Though not originally from Transcona (having been raised in the West End), he has since come to embrace this unique and wonderful community.
He completed his undergraduate degree in Medicine at the University of Manitoba in 2014. Following that he finished his Family Medicine Residency once again at the University of Manitoba in 2016.
Dr. Poole approaches medicine from a pragmatic view, tailoring the treatment plan to the unique needs of the patient. Understanding that everyone comes from a different perspective.
Since 2016 he has been working at Transcona Medical Clinic (now Innovative MD). His main interests include chronic care, adult medicine, and geriatrics. Additionally, he also greatly enjoys his role looking after patients at Park Manor Care Home.
When he’s not in the clinic, he enjoys playing video games and reading. And every winter, there’s a good chance you can spot him in his home away from home in Bucerias, Mexico.
Dr. Mayowa Fetuga brings a rich and diverse background in medicine to his practice, shaped by international training and clinical experience across three continents He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 2010, followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree from Windsor University School of Medicine in 2014.
After completing his medical training, Dr. Fetuga returned to Nigeria, where he completed his internship and practiced medicine for a while. He then relocated to the United Kingdom to complete his residency in Family Medicine/General Practice, earning Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). He is also certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and holds active medical licenses in the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and Canada.
Dr. Fetuga is passionate about comprehensive and patient-centered care. His clinical interests include family medicine, preventive health, chronic disease management, geriatrics, pediatrics, mental health, dermatology, and both men’s and women’s health.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fetuga enjoys spending quality time with his young family, traveling, running, and watching sports—especially boxing. He is fluent in English and Yoruba, and values building strong, lasting relationships with his patients and community
